Zombies are definitely not dead for Max Brooks! Brooks is the creative genius behind the penned World War Z and The Zombie Survival Guide. Unless you yourself have been hiding in a hole, you are also aware that Brooks' novel was adapted into a movie starring Brad Pitt. This weekend Brooks will be at Comic-Con and signing his newest graphic novel The Extinction Parade. Additionally, he will be part of a panel reviewing the upcoming video game Dead Rising 3. My hat is off to Brooks and his continued success - keep the undead coming!

Zombie movie based off of comic book?
As I was searching the world for the latest and greatest zombie news across the brain-to-brain interface of the internet, I discovered a new deal that was signed less than 24 hours ago.
Archie comics have been around, well, probably as long as the stories of the undead have been - however, Archie comics have had a new undead twist that debuted in 2013. Yesterday evening a deal was struck with Warner Brothers to make this new comic into a movie. Little is known about the actual plans but apparently the idea was to take the high school Archie clique and throw them in with the horror of Stephen Kings The Stand. The director of Pitch Perfect (Jason Moore) has signed on to direct this movie while the writer from Glee (Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa) will be writing the script.
I must admit that I fear this movie will be brain-dead from the get-go, so I have little faith that this will be attracting many zombies. Your thoughts? Brains or brainless?

News of the Weird....
The plea of 'zombie insanity' seems to not be a viable option any longer. A homeless man in Florida was caught throwing rocks at a hotel window. The man stated that his actions were warranted since he was trying to escape from zombies.
It didn't hold up in the court of law and they threw out his zombie defense.

Zombie escape plan? Need bait!
Ever consider what your zombie escape plan should be?
- First and foremost, remember that zombies are always craving food - you!
- You'll need weapons to survive and lots of them.
- Aim for the head!
- Don't stand still for too long - they'll find you.
- It's easier to survive if you are with a group.
- Make sure you aren't the slowest member in your group.
- Have some people in your group that you trust to protect you.
- Have some people in your group that you can't stand - you'll need bait!

Walking Dead Withdrawal?
Are you experiencing The Walking Dead withdrawal?
Many of the symptoms you are experiencing can be unpleasant, but not life threatening. (Remember you are part of the living dead.) Your withdrawal symptoms may include:
Agitation
Anxiety
Muscle Aches
Increased Tearing
Insomnia
Runny Nose
Sweating
Yawning
Desire for brains
And walking with a limp
However, don't be alarmed. As with all withdrawal symptoms, it will be important to find replacement 'drugs' to fill that need for your zombie dependency. It appears that BBC is going to try and do just that. On June 6, BBC will be releasing a miniseries called In the Flesh. Stay tuned bloggerland - this may give you a dose of the living dead to get you through until your next fix!
BBC America's special three-night premiere event In The Flesh begins Thursday, June 6, 10:00 pm, ET/PT.

World War Z Release
The United States government has lost the eastern seaboard and Russia has become black. There is only a short time left to actually survive. The antagonist, Lane, is searching desperately for answers and decides that Russia is the only place he can find them. How will he get into the country though? He believes that these 'things' need to be stopped and is positive that they have some type of weakness. The fate of civilization and the survival of humanity is resting on his shoulders. If he fails we all become zombie lunch meat. No pressure, right?
World War Z is set to premiere in theaters on June 21, 2013.

Lil Ass Kicker Survival
I've often wondered how 'Lil Ass Kicker on The Walking Dead will survive a zombie apocalypse.
I think I may have found the perfect solution for the newest member of 'the prison crew'. Do you think this contraption would help her survive?
Zombie Cologne?
You can never be too prepared for the zombie apocalypse. The Demeter Fragrance Library has created your next survival must-have! Anti-zombie perfume and cologne.
The fragrances, Zombie for Him and Zombie for Her, are designed to evade zombie detection (and dismembering) by masking your warm, spring-fresh, undead scent with the aroma of dried leaves, mushrooms, mildew, earth, moss and, for the ladies, dregs from the bottom of the wine barrel.

Unhappy? Participate in a zombie walk
Are you unhappy? Apparently, according to new research, zombie fads are at an all-time high because society is unhappy. To be fair, the Clemson University professor stated that, when cultural unhappiness or economic strife occurs, society looks for outlets to funnel their dissatisfaction.
So if you feel as though you aren't being listened to or your voice isn't being heard by those in charge - you may want to participate in a zombie walk to feed your need for empowerment and happiness again. Silly me, I thought I was just watching The Walking Dead for enjoyment's sake.
